A small but significant detail: The design. Everything starts here! Indeed, all our models are entirely designed in our design office where our engineers work on the development of each DAMIUS product and their continuous improvement using numerous tools such as a test bench, a 3D printer, and state-of-the-art software.
Based on the observation that the majority of products from other brands (even French, English, or Spanish) come from imports from Asia, and are therefore poorly designed (primarily for mass production and cheaper transport), we want to change this and offer models intelligently designed in their entirety, where no design error is conceivable!
They are all designed according to very precise specifications, combining stability and safety, comfort and design. For example, the ergonomics of our models have been carefully considered to ensure the lowest possible center of gravity, ideally distributed weight, and an optimal position: swan-neck frame, low step-through, seat post offset backward, advanced crankset, inverted stem, adequate track width… Nothing is left to chance!
When you place an order with DAMIUS, we assign your frame and weld it immediately. Your tricycle is truly custom-made! We perform our aluminum welds entirely by hand and with the help of our welding robot. This is why we guarantee our frames for life!
Then, we prepare them for painting by sanding, filing, and meticulously inspecting them to eliminate any potential defects.
Once your frame is prepared, we proceed with sandblasting, followed by powder coating. This is a technical process that combines quality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility. It involves electrostatically spraying powder paint based on thermosetting resin. This powder is applied to our pre-sandblasted frames and then melted and polymerized in an industrial oven.
This technique is known for providing exceptional qualitative and aesthetic characteristics in terms of color rendering and durability, as well as resistance to time, UV, bad weather, corrosion, shocks and scratches, uniformity of tint and coating (absence of runs and excessive thickness), and finally, surface hardness.
From an environmental perspective, powder coating also offers the advantages of releasing no toxic substances or vapors, reducing waste and optimizing the quantities of products used, and finally, not releasing solvents, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), or heavy metals.
At DAMIUS, we aim to internalize as many production phases as possible. In addition to welding and painting our frames, we also machine some of our parts. We spoke our own wheels and balance them using a specially dedicated machine.
Each component is assembled by hand by our technicians according to your choices, options, adaptations, and specific indications.
Everything is done so that you can receive your electric adult tricycles delivered to your home completely assembled and ready to use.
Once the manufacturing and assembly of your DAMIUS tricycle are finalized, we proceed to quality control with a road test.
It is at this precise moment that we carry out the final checks and adjustments. We test your model on the road to ensure it is in perfect working order. Just like a vehicle inspection, we check numerous points (derailleur, braking, steering, suspension, etc.).
Once your DAMIUS model is ready to ride, we pack it with the utmost care so that it reaches your home safely. We manufacture our own pallets and enclose your custom products in rather voluminous boxes (2m3).
We deliver your electric adult tricycle 100% assembled and ready for use. You have nothing to do but unpack it and ride it. You even get to choose the exact delivery day!

To ensure its production, a manufacturer must have all parts in stock, down to the smallest screw. As a customer, this assures you of obtaining any part in case of loss or breakdown.
For example, 5 years after your purchase, if you lose your battery charger, you just need to call the manufacturer to have the part sent to you by Colissimo. This ensures that your tricycle is repairable even years after your purchase.
Conversely, when you buy from a distributor, they only resell tricycles that have been manufactured in factories abroad. They therefore do not have a stock of parts. To help a customer, they will have to contact the manufacturer they depend on. The risk is that the reseller may not obtain the parts or that the process may be long because the manufacturer is located abroad. It often happens that products become irreparable. Example: if the battery is defective and the reseller cannot obtain this part, the customer will no longer be able to use their electric assistance.
